The 2017 Tampa Bay Rays Fan Festival, presented by the Tampa Bay Times, is scheduled for Saturday, February 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. m. to 4 p.m. m. in the tropical field. lightning season ticket holders can get early entry to the fan fest starting at 10am. m.

More than 60 current and former major league players and coaches are expected to attend, appearing on various stations throughout the day along with mascots Raymond and DJ Kitty. Below is a list of those expected to attend.

Among the free activities, fans are invited to take photos on the Rays’ bench for the first time this year and then take a tour of the Rays’ clubhouse facilities. More than 40 major league alumni will be signing free autographs throughout the day. Plus, fans have the chance to compete against the stripes players in numerous tailgate games, including 22-player foosball, pop-a-shot, air hockey, giant jenga, ping pong and more.
fan fest will feature a number of exciting activities for kids, including reading with the rays, presented by suncoast credit union; speed pitch, batting cages and home run derby at johns hopkins all children’s hospital children’s interactive zone; and infield baseball clinics, kids running the bases and a high-five station with lightning bolt players, courtesy of Sagicor Life Insurance Company. while there, kids 14 and under can get a free membership to rays rookies kids club, presented by outback steakhouse.
To promote Reading with the Rays, the club’s summer reading program presented by Suncoast Credit Union and supported by the Tampa Bay Times in Education, a Rays player will read select stories on the Pepsi Main Stage. the pepsi main stage will also host shows throughout the day. In addition, the stage will also feature television hosts Zach and Kayla from “Rays Rookies,” a Raymond Entertainment Show, and panels featuring Rays coaches, broadcasters, and team executives. the budweiser beer garden is back again, offering budweiser, bud diet, hot dogs and other snacks for fans to purchase throughout the day.
The Rays will use their social media accounts to provide fans with opportunities for team and player interaction and exclusive prizes via facebook, twitter, instagram and snapchat contests during the fanfest. The team’s official Twitter account, @raysbaseball, will serve as a communication hub where fans can get up-to-date information on events happening throughout the day and answers to questions about the fan festival. fans can also visit the social media zone presented by the tampa bay times to take photos with lightning bolt trophies and awards, players and oversized emojis.
memory fundraiser
Back for the seventh consecutive year, fans can purchase unique, game-used and autographed memorabilia dating back to the club’s inaugural season at the Rays Charity Yard Sale. for the first time, all items displayed in landing area 162 of the charity yard sale will be available for $5 each. All proceeds benefit the Rays Baseball Foundation. In addition, Don Zimmer collectibles will be available for purchase in the clubhouse corner, with all proceeds going to the Don Zimmer Youth Clearwater Memorial Scholarship. fans will also have the opportunity to bid on exclusive stingray experiences at the silent auction in the corner of the clubhouse. to date, the lightning fan festival has raised more than $465,000, allowing the foundation to support youth and educational programming in the tampa bay region.
At various locations throughout the fan festival, staff members will sell tickets as part of the “split the pot” fundraiser, which provides the opportunity for one lucky fan to share the cash prize with the baseball foundation lightning strikes and the ted williams foundation.
Season ticket holders will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase autograph passes. they will receive an email with instructions on how to purchase the passes. For $100, each autograph pass will include one (1) autograph from three (3) Rays players, with proceeds benefiting the Florida Chapter of the ALS Association.

Fans can also sign up for a Tampa Bay Rays brand plaque. All fans who register for a plaque at the Fan Fest will receive a coupon for admission to a 2017 home game. A portion of the proceeds from plaque sales benefit the Rays Baseball Foundation and the Rayos Baseball Foundation. florida sports.

Representatives from the Rays ticketing department will be available to assist fans throughout the day in purchasing season tickets, flex packages, group tickets, spring training tickets, party areas, suite rentals and special ticket offers.
advantages for season ticket holders
Season ticket holders will also have access to the Republican Bank Draft Room, an area of the club that will feature a photo station for taking pictures with Rays players, complimentary snacks and hors d’oeuvres, appearances by alumni and more.
Season ticket holders who attend the fanfest will also receive a credit loaded onto their lightning card that can be used on concessions and merchandise on the day of the fanfest.
