jumped to single-a greenville for his first season in the states…reported to the drive on 6/9 and spent the rest of the season as the club’s youngest player…ranked 3rd in the team with 16 home runs, tied for third in the south atlantic league during his time with the club… hit 2 home runs in rome on 10/7, the first multi-home run game of his career… was named the salt hitter of the week by 7/ 25-31 after hitting 8 of 23 (.348) and tied for the league lead with 3 home runs and 7 RBI… he closed the season batting .352 (25 of 71) in his last 19 games, including 9 multi-hit efforts…after the season, ranked as no. 2 leaflet and the no. 10 prospect in the salt by baseball america…..also ranked no. 58th prospect in all of baseball.

named player of the year for the red sox latino program and star of the dominican summer league in his first professional season… led the dsl red sox in average (.314), hits (75), h (3), rbi (42), total bases (101), slg (.423), and ops (.819)…ranked 8th in average among dsl hitters with at least 200 ab…led the tour with 295 chances and 110 outs at shortstop…he and twin brother jair each hit a grand slam on 8/20 in a 16-0 win at the dsl indians…tied for second losing streak longest hits of the year in the dsl with a 13- game streak to close out the season, in which he batted .358 (19-for-53) with 2 home runs.
